Let me be straightforward with you.

Most articles about finding a sportswear manufacturer in Pakistan read like they were written by someone who has never actually placed an order. Generic advice. Obvious points. Nothing that helps you when you are sitting across from a supplier who is telling you everything you want to hear.

We are based in Sialkot. We have been in this industry long enough to know what the sourcing process actually looks like from both sides of the table. So this is not a list of theoretical tips. This is what you actually need to know before you commit to a manufacturer — whether that is us or anyone else.

Sialkot Is Not a Secret Anymore — Which Makes It Harder to Navigate

Ten years ago, finding a manufacturer in Sialkot required serious legwork. Now it takes a five-minute Google search. That accessibility is genuinely useful. But it also means the barrier to presenting yourself as a professional manufacturer has dropped significantly.

There are legitimate factories here with decades of export experience. There are also trading companies presenting themselves as manufacturers. And there are everything in between — small workshops with limited capacity, middlemen with polished websites, and genuine manufacturers who are just hard to find because they spend more time producing than marketing.

This is not a warning to scare you away from Pakistan. It is context. Because how you identify the right manufacturer matters more now than it did before.

The Question That Tells You Almost Everything

When you first contact a manufacturer, ask them this: Can I see your production floor on a video call?

That is it. That single question filters out a significant number of suppliers who are not what they claim to be.

A direct manufacturer with a real factory will schedule that call without hesitation. They will walk you through cutting tables, stitching lines, finishing areas. They want you to see it. It is their proof.

A reseller or trading company will either delay, make excuses, or show you a factory that clearly does not match their claimed production capacity.

Ask the question early. You will know quickly what you are dealing with.

MOQ Conversations Are Where Manufacturers Reveal Themselves

Every manufacturer in Sialkot will tell you their MOQ is flexible. That word does not mean what you think it means when you are just starting a conversation.

When you push for specifics — what is flexible, exactly? — you learn a lot. Some manufacturers genuinely support first orders of 50 to 100 pieces per style. Others say flexible but mean 300 units minimum once they realize you are a new brand. Neither answer is wrong. But knowing the real number before you invest time in sampling is essential.

At ZYPFIT, we are upfront about this from the first message. Our MOQ for new brands is designed to make a first order financially realistic. We would rather start small with someone and grow together than overpromise and create a frustrating experience.

Sampling Is Not a Formality — Treat It Like a Hiring Decision

The way a manufacturer handles sampling tells you exactly how they will handle bulk production.

If they rush through it, cut corners on fit, or push you to approve quickly so they can move to bulk — that behavior does not improve once you place a larger order. It gets worse, because now the pressure is higher.

A manufacturer who takes sampling seriously will ask you detailed questions before they start. They will confirm fabric weight, check your tech pack or reference samples carefully, and flag potential issues before they become problems. They will not present a sample as final until it actually is.

That kind of discipline in sampling is the clearest sign you are working with a manufacturer who will deliver on bulk.

The Export Experience Gap

Not every manufacturer in Sialkot ships regularly to the USA, UK, or Europe. Some have capacity and quality but limited export experience. That gap shows up in documentation errors, incorrect HS codes, labeling issues, and customs delays that are entirely preventable.

Before you commit, ask your manufacturer to walk you through the export process for your country. Ask what documentation they provide. Ask how they handle customs requirements.

If they can answer those questions clearly and specifically — not vaguely — they have done it before. If they hesitate or give you generic answers, you may be their first serious export customer. That is not necessarily a deal breaker, but it is something to account for in your planning.

Why We Wrote This

ZYPFIT is a private label sportswear manufacturer in Sialkot, Pakistan. We produce fitness wear, gym clothing, boxing gear, and athletic apparel for brands across the USA, UK, Europe, and the Middle East.

We wrote this because we regularly hear from brands who had a difficult first experience with a manufacturer — not because Pakistan is a bad sourcing destination, but because they did not have the right information going in.

If you are currently evaluating manufacturers, we are happy to have a straightforward conversation. No sales pitch. Tell us what you are looking for, and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.

And if we are not — we will tell you that too.
